Lead Organizer
TEDxYouthWestVancouver
I organized the first-ever youth TEDx event in West Vancouver to empower and inspire youth to make a greater positive impact in their community. I lead this event with 5 other students across multiple schools in Vancouver and coordinated 20 volunteers for the conference. The event was a success, after all, we had 9 speakers and 3 performances after reviewing 80 applications, 15 sponsors and partners (raising over $50,000 for the event), and an audience of over 200 people. I currently have been mentoring a few TEDx events in Vancouver and Toronto, helping them with the logistics and strategies

TEDxYouth@WestVancouver saught to inspire and empower the local youth community through demonstrating what is possible, conveyed through small actions that can have a cumulative impact: the butterfly effect. As an event for youth, run by youth, we are hosting youth speakers who have inspiring ideas about creating social change and the necessity of youth voices-- something especially prevalent in today’s world where youth have an important role in the conversation on our futures.
